Interested in taking part in this year's ride
or becoming one of our much valued supporters?
Each year, an inspiring group of cyclists and their support crew ride the east coast of Australia to help brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their families. All proceeds raised go towards pediatric and neonatal equipment for the Humpty Dumpty Foundation.
The ride was established by Gary Richardson and Trevelyan Bale back in 2005: two friends looking for a way to give back to the hospitals that had helped their own sick children.

It is an honour to help support the very worthwhile 1200kms for Kids charity bike ride. I can't wait to join all of the other dedicated cyclists on the ride.
I followed the journey of a very special girl who sadly lost her 10 year battle with cancer, it is an honour to be able to play a small role in helping sick kids just like Tayla, raising much needed funds for medical equipment and continuing vital research. It's pedal to the metal for me and the 1200kms for Kids team.
It's a great honour and privilege to help support 1200kms for Kids as a great fundraising event and support the people who care about the quality of life for young children.
The massive undertaking of pedalling a bike over such a long distance is a small reminder of the pain and effort that other people endure to overcome illness. What brings it all together are the friendships, sweat and tears that enables ordinary people to overcome their own limitations to raise funds and awareness that there is always more we can do for children overcoming serious illness.
It is my absolute pleasure to support the 1200kms for Kids charity ride.
It is heart warming to see so many great people getting behind the ride and participating in such a worthwhile cause that affects us all. All the best to the riders.
In 2009, I accepted the invitation to do the ride. The event has seen over a 120 cyclists do the journey, in excess of half a million dollars raised and many, many people helped along the way.
Not to mention the much needed hospital equipment that has been gifted to hospitals by the fundraising efforts of the 1200kms gang. I have fond memories of the ride, made some great friends along the way and most importantly an appreciation of all the hard work that goes into making this event a reality. Its is well worth supporting and if you want to challenge yourself and help some people in real need - do the ride.
Time spent in hospital is hard, but it must be even harder for seriously ill children and their families.
That's why I'm honoured to support the dedicated cyclists and crew of the 1200kms for Kids. These guys and girls are pedalling for the Humpty Dumpty Foundation and the Children's Hospital Foundation! Their incredible efforts raise vital funds for ground breaking research and medical equipment, to make a significant difference and improve the lives of patients and their families every day. Helping sick kids is an awesome cause so follow the riders and donate.
